Tall Fescue Grass Seeds Are Used to Overseed Your Lawn
The goal of our overseeding service is to fill in the bare patches on your lawn with new grass growth. To ensure you get a strong, dense lawn, we use top-quality tall fescue grass seeds when overseeding. One of the best things about tall fescue grass seeds is that they have top-notch tolerance to heat, drought, and shade. This means despite being a cool-season grass, your lawn will stay resilient even during the warm summer days. Using tall fescue grass seeds also creates a disease-resistant lawn!
To yield good results for your lawn, we offer our overseeding service in the fall.
Our team will overseed your lawn when conditions are ideal. Because we are using cool-season tall fescue grass seeds for overseeding, we will perform this service in the fall, between September and October, to achieve good results. Tall fescue grass thrives in the cool environment of the fall season. By spreading the grass seeds during this time, they will have the ideal environment to germinate. The seeds will also have enough time to establish and take root deep in the soil before winter arrives. Come springtime, you can enjoy a lush, green lawn that looks amazing and is ready to flourish for the new season!
Our overseeding service is only available when paired with aeration.
We only offer our overseeding service when paired with our core aeration service. This service involves pulling plugs of soil from the ground to address soil compaction and create pathways where nutrients and other resources can pass through to reach the roots of your grass. When we aerate the soil first, the grass seeds can fall into the tiny holes in the ground and get excellent seed-to-soil contact. This means the grass seeds will have easy access to nutrients, water, air, and sunlight that will help them germinate.
We do single-pass or double-pass aeration depending on your lawn's needs.
A Fertilizer Treatment Is Administered After Overseeding to Help the Grass Seeds Grow
When you sign up for our overseeding service, we will do more than just spread the grass seeds on your lawn. Our lawn care professionals will also give the grass seeds a health boost by applying a starter fertilizer treatment to help them grow! The starter fertilizer we use is not just any other treatment. It is rich in nitrogen and phosphorus, two crucial nutrients that will kickstart the growth of the grass seeds. Nitrogen boosts the overall growth of the grass seeds while phosphorus is important in early development and ensuring your lawn has a strong root system.
